Our Nursery - Helping you Decide...
On visiting the nursery, the Manager will be happy to show you round and talk to you in detail about the care and facilities we provide.
• All children are treated as individuals and encouraged to develop at their own pace. We are here to listen, support and advise you at any time.
• We strictly ensure the equal treatment of all children regardless of gender, ability or ethnic origin. We also show respect for parents, carers, religious, political or personal beliefs.
• Discipline is approached in a positive manner in conjunction with our Behaviour Management Policy as staff are strictly forbidden to smack or use any other hard procedure. We encourage and reward children to behave in an acceptable way and to love and care for each other.
• Kikiland provides complimentary settling in sessions. We encourage parents to visit the Nursery with their children before admission. This ensures a sense of security for the child but also enables parents to get to know the staff and other children and gives the opportunity for anxieties or concerns to be discussed. We want children to feel safe and happy in the absence of their parents.
At Kikiland Limited, we really value your child attending our nursery and we know they will have a natural curiosity and be eager to learn. We take the time to get to know your child and understand their individual needs.
We have a full team of staff ready to start working with the children to provide a warm, fun and stimulating environment that will help them to develop the confidence and social skills they need to make a seamless transition into school.
As a sessional preschool nursery, we take a maximum intake of 24 children per session, aged from 2 to 5 years old with the required staff to child ratios.
When registering your child at Kikiland Limited, they will be assigned a keyperson, who will help your child settle into the nursery. This provides a sense of security so that they feel confident to explore their world and form further relationships. Each keyperson will have their own colour for the children to recognise and have an understanding of what group they are in.
Registering your child at Kikiland Limited
Currently, as a new nursery, we have a number of places available, but we know there is strong demand for local nursery childcare, so we urge you to register as soon as possible to secure your child’s place, whether it be for right now or at some time in the future.
If you are interested, you can either ring up to arrange a visit, here you will receive the registration pack along with the forms that will need to be filled in in order to reserve a place. Or you can email directly, where we can then send you the forms for you to complete and send back.

The key person responds to children’s needs and help them settle into a new environment, communicate is paramount between parents and keyperson as these discussions hold key information about the child. A key person will be a point of contact for parents.
Meal times and healthy eating
Children spend a large amount of time in day nurseries, so parents and guardians need to be assured that their children are having healthy, nutritious food as part of a balanced diet. Today’s preschoolers have more dietary requirements and may need a different menu due to food allergy, intolerance, religious requirements or vegetarianism.
Here at kikiland you can choose between having pack lunches or meals cooked in house. If you chose to bring a pack lunch, we ask that it may be nutritious and healthy.
The nursery has a strict no-nuts policy and always offers alternatives to children who, due to special dietary requirements are unable to have certain meals. We will gather any information from parents/carers regarding any special dietary requirements, preferences or food allergies in advance of the child being admitted to the nursery
We promote meal times as an opportunity for learning as well as a time for calm social interaction, and encourage good eating habits that will hopefully set the pattern for a child’s future relationship with food.”
Good examples of table manners and behaviour is given by a member of staff sitting within small groups of children. Nursery staff will pro-actively involve children at meal time to create a social occasion which provides opportunities to promote children’s social and educational development.
Fussy eaters will be encouraged (but not forced) to eat. Praise will be given when the child eats, foods will be removed without judgement if the child refuses.
Children will be given as much time as they need to finish their meals
Children will be given the appropriate utensils and crockery according to the meals served.
Older children are encouraged to serve themselves independently with assistancwe where required to pour their own drinks
We ask all parents to provide children with a healthy pack lunches on accord with the healthy eating guideline.
All food which is served by Kikiland is freshly prepared daily on our site in the kitchen.
Fresh fruit and vegetables are always available. Salt, sugar and additives are kept to a bare minimum.
We encourage children to drink water throughout the day. They have milk or water at snack time and water with their meal.
We also have water available from them throughout the day.
All dietary requirements are catered for in line with the parents’ wishes and healthy authority guidelines.
